This blog will serve as a forum in which I will outline my investment ideas. Each idea will explore a company I believe is fundamentally undervalued by a large margin (>30%). The point of the blog is twofold. One, I want to make money in the markets. Two, I want to learn from my mistakes and from others.
I will investment my own money in each idea and will hold each position for at least a year. The reason for a long-term hold is primarily to see the long-term value thesis play out and to avoid capital gains tax.I will try to find companies with deep, under-appreciated fundamental value that are trading at large discounts to their intrinsic value. These discounts could be caused by short-term results or a general misconception in the market. While I tend to find the majority of my ideas in the small and nano-cap space due to a lack of institutional coverage, I will also try to find investments in the large-cap space that are relatively well known as well (my #1 pick in the large-cap space is Apple right now).
Let's make money. Wish me luck.
